Get ready, Oregon! The Santiam Smoke Show is bringing the best of BBQ, brews and live music to the Pacific Northwest from May 30th to June 1st - and trust us, you won’t want to miss it!
This powerhouse event is a fusion of two legendary experiences produced by Sweet Events of the Sweet Home Economic Development Group (SHEDG): Music & Brews and the Icebox Cookoff. The means world-class BBQ, rockin’ live music, and the best drinks in the region - all in one family-friendly epic weekend!
The BBQ Battle: West Coast’s Biggest Cash Competition
At the heart of the Santiam Smoke Show is the event formerly known as the Icebox Cookoff - the largest cash-paid BBQ competition on the West Coast! It’s a Jack Daniel’s qualifier featuring over 45 teams and sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS), so you know that the competition is going to be off the charts! Pitmasters from across the country will compete for the title of grand champion, showing off their skills in traditional BBQ categories and a few Pacific North West inspired ancillary competitions featuring mushrooms, hazelnuts, and other local flavors.
Music That Brings The Heat
BBQ is best enjoyed with killer tunes - we don’t make the rules, that’s just how it is and the Santiam Smoke Show is no different. Enjoy rock’n’roll hair band Jukebox Heroes - Foreigner Tribute and Hall & Bros - The Best of Hall & Oates and the Doobie Brothers. Dance and sing along as they skillfully deliver iconic songs recorded by the Lou Gramm/Mick Jones’ band, from the guitar-and-saxophone laden rock of their early years to the keyboard-centric hits of the mid/late-80’s. Country music singer Clark Hill will also be in the mix, providing a little something for everyone!

Pair that smoky BBQ plate or those deep fried seafood sliders with your choice of cider, beer, wine, cocktail and/or mocktail from local to regional favorites.
